Clark Maxwell serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of BoxHouse. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Equity Methods, LLC. Clark brings over 25 years of experience in executive leadership, finance, treasury, accounting, financial risk management, and business development.
Clark served as Chief Executive Officer of Chatham Financial, a global leader in the debt and derivatives markets, from 2019 until 2022. From 2002 through 2018, Clark held several other leadership positions at Chatham, including Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director of Accounting Advisory Services, and Director of Financial Institutions. During his 20-year tenure at Chatham, he helped the company grow into the largest employee-owned capital markets firm serving the real estate, corporates, financial services, and private equity industries, with over $1.5 trillion of debt on its market-leading software system and executing over $750 billion of trades annually.
Prior to joining Chatham, Clark worked in the assurance practice at Ernst & Young (including the National Office) and served as a derivatives and hedging subject matter expert for the firm. Prior to EY, Clark worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board on the development of Statement 133, Accounting for Derivative Instruments and Hedging Activities. Clark also served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac) for 12 years, from 2008 until 2020.
From July 2022 until June 2025, Clark served as President of the Idaho Boise Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the course of this three-year voluntary assignment, he oversaw the leadership, training, and development of over 700 missionaries.
Clark is a former CPA and received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, and Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.
